To provide a sheet conveying device provided with a constitution capable of not impairing image quality by precisely defining a gap of an ink head and a sheet at an image formation area.
The sheet conveying device is provided with a conveying belt 17 wound on at least two rollers and forming a flat part opposed to an image formation area by moving on a guide member 20 arranged between a printing processing means 15 and it at a predetermined interval; a paper discharge roller 22 arranged at the side where the sheet S after printing processing is discharged in one of movement direction of the sheet S at the image formation area and capable of clamping and conveying the sheet S; and a conveying roller 23 contacting with one of the roller 18 wound with the conveying belt 17 in the other of the movement direction of the sheet S at the image formation area and moving the sheet S toward the image formation area. In the paper discharge roller 22, a clamping position of the sheet is positioned at a lower side H than the flat part of the conveying belt 17 moving on the guide member 20.
