To provide a shelf for sorting of mail permitting efficient sorting of mail through the shortest carrying distances without interruption of the work of sorting into many route schedule shelves during the process from initial sorting of mail into many route schedule shelves to final sorting for individual deliverymen or without requirement of much labor in a short time.
This shelf consists of a frame body 1 configuring the outside with a bottom plate 2, a back plate 4, a top plate 5 and a right and a left side plates 6 configured so as to be flat with broken lines (a), (b) and (c), a desired number of middle shelf plates 8 and 8' and a dividing plate 9. In the shelf for sorting of mail, the middle shelf plates are held by the dividing plate in a separable way, and constituent members comprising the bottom plate, the middle shelf plates and the side plates are connected with desired linkers in a separable way. In the back plate 4 formed are holes 12 making it possible to take out mail U to be sorted according to many sorting shelves T divided by the bottom plate, the top plate, the side plates, the middle shelf plates and the dividing plate and transfer the sorted mail to the back surface of the back plate.
