Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely provide copyright protection of audio and video content data.
SOLUTION: A disk player 100 which is a transmitter and a recorder 300 which is a receiver are connected across two pieces of serial interfaces 188-1 and 188-2, etc., of IEEE1394 standards and a prescribed data stream including a pack of at least either of audio data and video data is formed. At least, a down sampling flag, down mix flag or dequantized flag is housed in the prescribed region in this data stream. This packet is converted into the packet corresponding to the serial interface of the IEEE1394 standards and is transmitted through the serial interface.
