PURPOSE: To obtain a skin external preparation excellent in action capable of suppressing occurrence of wrinkle and removing wrinkle and suppressing parakeratosis of skin, hyperplasia of epidermis and abnormality of lipometabolism and excellent in the recovery of normal function and retention of homeostasis.
CONSTITUTION: The skin external preparation contains an amine derivative of formula I (R1 is 1-40C straight-chain, branched chain or cyclic hydrocarbon group which may contain a hetero atom; R2 and R4 are H or 1-10C hydrocarbon groups whose hydrogen atom may be substituted with OH; R3 is 2-10C hydrocarbon group which may be substituted with OH; A is CO2, S or formula 4) or its acid addition salt or quaternary compound, e.g. 3-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-1- tetradecylthio-2-propanol. This compound has action capable of suppressing DNA synthesis of an epidermic cell, promoting differential induction and suppressing hyperplasia of epidermis and is preferably blended in this external preparation in an amount of 0.0001-0.1wt.%. The compound of formula I is obtained by adding an amine of formula 3 to an epoxide of formula 2.
