To provide an apparatus for constructing a soil column which has a plurality of enlarged diameter portions being different in dimension from each other.
The soil column constructing apparatus is for use in constructing the soil column having the enlarged diameter portions, in the ground, and formed of a shaft 4, excavating blades 25 attached to a lower end of the shaft 4, excavating heads 26 for excavating a hole according to forward rotation of the shaft, and a first discharge port 13 arranged at a lower end of the shaft, for feeding cement milk into the excavated hole. The shaft 4 has arms 19 attached thereto at a plurality of locations at predetermined longitudinal intervals. Each arm 19 is expanded in a plane perpendicular to the shaft at the time of backward rotation of the shaft 4. Further, each arm 19 has shanks 20 attached to both ends thereof, so as to enlarge a peripheral wall of the excavated hole at the time of the backward rotation of the shaft. Furthermore, at least some of the arms 19 attached to the plurality of locations of the shaft 4, have lengths which are different from each other.
