In a sparkler which comprises a pigmented layer 5 on the surface of a chemical coated area provided on a shaft 1, or more particularly in the sparkler which makes the color of the pigmented layer equivalent to the color of flames or the color of sparks of the chemical coated area or the sparkler where a chemical coated area whose flame color or spark color is different, is provided in the longitudinal direction one after another, the pigmented layer 5, which is equivalent to the color of flames or sparks of each chemical coated area, is formed respectively on the surface of each chemical coated area.
