Abstract:
PURPOSE: To insert a stem in a coiled wire rod C with high workability and without generating a flaw on the coiled wire rod.
CONSTITUTION: The stem 2 is inserted into the coiled wire rod C unbound, spreaded and hung on a C hook 14 by a device. An upsetting roller table 6 provided with a locking mechanism 7 of stem 2 which is connected to a fixed roller table 1 when the stem 2 is carried in and inverted when the stem is inserted in the coiled wire rod C, an inverting cylinder device 10 for the table 6, a coil receiving table 8 erected orthogonally on a side of the table 6 and by which the bottom of coiled wire rod C is supported so as the type of packing is secured when the coiled wire rod C is compressed after the stem 2 is inserted in it and when the coiled wire C is erected are mounted on a stem upsetting truck 3. A coil compressing truck 12 movable to approach and apart to/from the stem inverting truck 3 so as the coiled wire C is compressed from its tip end side after the stem 2 is inserted in the coiled wire rod C is arranged at the traveling termination part of the truck 3.
