Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a contribution to a reduction of a printing cost by decreasing a residue of a master to be discarded as small as possible and suppressing an uneconomical matter. SOLUTION: When an end of the master is sensed by a master set sensor 72 during platemaking, a control means (not shown) calculates an amount of master capable of being sent after a sensing time point, and judges whether a sending amount of the master for one plate part can be obtained or not. If it is judged that the amount of the masters 64 for the one plate part cannot be obtained, the master 64 is wound on an outer peripheral surface of a plate cylinder 6 similarly to a normal plate supplying step, and the master 64 on the cylinder 6 is delivered by a delivering means (not shown) without conducting a plate attaching operation. A 'master absent' is displayed on a liquid crystal display unit of a control panel (not shown). The end of the master 64 is attached to a core material 65 by an adhesive force weaker than a conveying force.
