Title:
STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0678340
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily observe a stereoscopic picture without need of wearing a liquid crystal eyeglass or the like by displaying a picture for a left eye and a picture for a right eye on one display device and using a lenticular lens to observe the picture images.

CONSTITUTION: RGB electron beam for a left eye from left eye electron guns 1 are subject to brightness modulation by a left eye picture signal and pass through a shadow mask 2 to irradiate R, G, B luminescent bodies 3, which are radiated. The left eye image radiated from the bodies is made incident on a left eye of an observer by the action of a lenticular lens 6. Similarly the right eye image radiated from the bodies is made incident on a right eye of the observer by the action of the lenticular lens 6. Thus, the observer observes both the left eye color image radiated by the RGB electron beams emitted from the left eye electron guns 1 and the right eye color image radiated by the RGB electron beams emitted from right eye electron guns 1 to recognize a color stereoscopic image.
