To provide a sterilization method and apparatus by which an interior surface of a number of vessels can be sterilized by a single electron irradiation equipment.
By scanning an electronic beam from the electron irradiation equipment 34 into radiated nozzles 35 in an alternate current magnetic field along conveying direction of a PET bottle 31, and segmenting it into radiation nozzles inner faces of a number of PET bottles 31 are sterilized by a single equipment 34 and the equipment can be miniaturized. Also, by injecting a low energy electronic beam lower than 500 keV inside a PET bottle 31, electrons are scattered through an air inside the PET bottle 31 and as electrons propagate around even if irregularities such as a thread part or a level difference exist inside a PET bottle 31, hence, the inner surface of the PET bottles 31 is fully sterilized.
