Abstract:
To prevent a situation in which print data cannot be stored in a storage area.SOLUTION: A storage device comprises a management unit that, when acquired data is data of a first type that is not deleted according to a deletion instruction issued by an unauthenticated user and is deleted according to a deletion instruction issued by an authenticated user, stores the acquired data in a first area of a storage unit, and even when the acquired data cannot be contained in the first area, does not store the acquired data in a second area of the storage unit; when the acquired data is data of a second type that is deleted according to a deletion instruction issued by a user, stores the acquired data in the first area, and when the acquired data cannot be contained in the first area, stores at least part of the acquired data in the second area; and when the acquired data is data of a third type that is automatically deleted regardless of the deletion instruction issued by the user, stores the acquired data in the second area, and when the acquired data cannot be contained in the second area, stores at least part of the acquired data in the first area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
