This storage type water heater includes a bath-mixing means 11 for adjusting a temperature of hot water by mixing hot water of high temperature from a hot water storage tank 1 and water, a bathtub-hot water supply pathway connecting the bath-mixing means 11 and the bathtub, a water faucet-mixing means 9 for adjusting a temperature of hot water by mixing the hot water of high temperature from the hot water storage tank 1 and water, a water faucet-hot water supply pathway 10 connecting the water faucet-mixing means 9 and the water faucet-hot water supply pathway 10, communication piping 14 for communicating the bathtub-hot water supply pathway and the water faucet-hot water supply pathway 10, and a pathway switching means 13. The pathway switching means 13 can switch to a state to simultaneously supply both of the hot water of which the temperature is adjusted by the water faucet-mixing means 9 and the hot water of which the temperature is adjusted by the bath-mixing means 11, to the water faucet-side tapping terminal by allowing the hot water of which the temperature is adjusted by the bath-mixing means 11 to join the water faucet-hot water supply pathway 10 through the communication piping 14.
