Abstract:
To perform measurement in such a manner that a result can be regarded equal to a behavior of an original engine even if an original drive plate is replaced with a newly designed drive plate torquemeter.SOLUTION: An optimal structure design method for a drive plate torquemeter executes the steps of: designing a shape in which dimensions of an inner coupling part, an outer coupling part and an outer peripheral ring gear parts of an original drive plate are matched, by a computer; providing a strain induction part which senses a torque, at an outer peripheral side of the inner coupling part; and optimizing the shape on the basis of such restriction items that mass and inertia moments are settled within predetermined ranges, while defining a space from an outer peripheral side of the strain induction part to an inner peripheral side of the ring gear part as a free design region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
