Title:
SYNTHETIC PAPERS BASED ON THERMALLY STABLE FIBERS, PULP AND BINDER AND PROCESS FOR OBTAINING THEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2740098
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To industrially and economically obtain synthetic paper based on substantially synthetic material and fiber that stand high temperature through a common paper-making process.
CONSTITUTION: (A) inorganic or synthetic fiber showing the heat resistance over 180°C (for example, aromatic polyamide fiber) is chemically bonded with (B) a fibrous binder comprising wholly aromatic polyamide or polyester pulp showing the heat resistance over 180°C (for example, pulp based on poly-p- phenylene terephthalamide) and (C) a chemical binder selected from the group consisting of (C1) a polyether-amide, (C2) a polyester and (C3) a thermosetting resin resistant to thermal stress, prepared from N,N'-bis(imide) of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid of the formula (D is a divalent group bearing a C=C double bond; A is a 2-30C divalent organic group) and from an amine of the formula: R(NH2) x (x is an integer at least equal to 2; R is an organic group of an n atomic valence) to give the objective reactive paper. In the final paper product, the proportion of the component A is 45-80 wt.%, the component B is 5-20 wt.%, and the component C is 10-50 wt.%.
