Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which continuously views a program without inputting a password by discriminating whether or not a program that is selected is a program that has viewing age limitation, discriminating whether or not the viewing age limitation is already released about a program in the case of the program that has the limitation and normally televising a program in a viewable way when the viewing limitation is already released.
SOLUTION: When a program that is currently tuned in to is a program that has viewing age limitation, limitation release information is read from nonvolatile memory 12. About the program that is tuned in to, it is decided whether or not the viewing age limitation is already released. When the viewing age limitation is already released, an AV control signal that releases the mute of an AV signal is outputted to an AV decoder 4. Thus, because the AV signal of the program is prevented from being muted, a user does not have to input a password newly after power source is returned and can continuously view the program.
