Abstract:
To efficiently and inexpensively print by using metallic colors and ordinary colors.
A thermal transfer printer comprises a transfer roller, a first platen, a thermal transfer printing part and a second platen. The transfer roller is for heating the first ink for transferring a first ink from a first ink film to a printing medium. The transfer roller pressures the first ink film and the printing medium against the first platen. The thermal transfer printing part is for heating the second ink for transferring a second ink from a second ink film to a printing medium. The thermal transfer printing part pressures the second ink film and the printing medium against the second platen.
