Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermochromic ultraviolet-curable ink compsn. which has no problem with curability and print strength and has an excellent lightfastness by incorporating thermochromic microcapsules contg. no ultraviolet absorber and having a specified average particle size and at least one photopolymn. initiator selected from among specific compds. into the same.
SOLUTION: Thermochromic microcapsules contg. no ultraviolt absorber and having an average particle size of 0.5-50μm and at least one photopolymn. initiator selected from among acetophenone compds. and benzophenone compds. are used. Pref. examples of the initiator are 2,2-dimethoxy-1, 2-diphenylethanone, p-methylthio-2-morpholino-2,2-dimethylacetophenone, and 1-hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone.
