PURPOSE: To attain high speed recording, by dividing a decoded signal of one scanning line into plural blocks and driving a recording section only to a block including a black picture element.
CONSTITUTION: Information of 8-bit corresponding to the state of 8-bit of styluses 1∼8 is applied from a data bus 71 to a register 74 with the designation from an address bus 72. When the styluses 1∼8 are all black colors, the information goes to "1". Then, the information corresponding to styluses 9∼16 is applied to the register 74 similarly. The signal set already in the register 74 is applied to a register 75. The information "1" corresponding to "black" is set similarly to all registers 74∼77. Then, the information to drive stylus electrodes 1∼32 is applied to an input terminal 84, and the information designating the back electrode is set to registers 78∼83 for executing the recording.
