Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of ultrasonic images by extracting higher harmonic components from received signals prior to A/D conversion in a harmonic imaging mode and to eliminate a difference in passband characteristic between channels.
SOLUTION: A band-pass filter is provided for each channel, the band-pass filter having a resonant circuit having an inductor element L and a variable capacity circuit 70. By varying control voltages 104 and 106, the capacities of diodes D1 and D2 are controlled whereby the passband characteristics can be adjusted.
