Title:
VAPOR-CHAMBER TARGET FOR X-RAY TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001319606
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve heat radiation from an anode of an X-ray tube.

The X-ray tube that generates X-rays includes a casing (22), an anode structure (40) disposed in the casing (22) and containing a target surface (60), a cathode structure (42) attached to the casing (22) at a distance from the anode structure (40), and a target body jutting from the target surface (60) of the anode structure (40). The cathode structure (42) contains an electron emitter that emits electrons. Electrons are incident on the target surface (60) of the anode fabric to generate X-rays. The target body has a cavity (67) filled with a working fluid (87) and is constituted so as to remove heat energy released from the target surface (60).
