Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device which realizes enhancement of turning performance and down-sizing of a vehicle.SOLUTION: When an electric car is turned left, an ECU 30 increases three-phase AC power which is supplied to a first coil 21 of a stator 11 thereby increasing a torque of an outer rotor 12 and increasing rotation frequency of a right wheel 40a. When the electric car is turned right, the ECU 30 controls a first inverter 31 thereby converting induction current, which is generated in the first coil 21 by rotation of the outer rotor 12 with respect to the stator 11, into direct current and supplying the direct current to a battery 33 and charging the battery 33. At this time, a torque of the outer rotor 12 is lowered by a regenerative torque generated in an outer motor 14, whereby rotation frequency of the right wheel 40a is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
