To realize a vibration piece that suppresses a secondary mood.
A vibration piece 10 includes: a base portion 11; vibration arms 12 and 13 each extending from a base end portion 11a of the base portion 11; excitation electrodes 30, 31, 40 and 41 disposed on each of first main surfaces 10a and second main surfaces 10b of the vibration arms 12 and 13 within a range of approximately 50% of lengths La of the vibration arms 12 and 13 from the base end portion 11a; and capacitance portions 32a, 32b, 42a and 42b connected to the excitation electrodes 30, 31, 40 and 41 and disposed on leading end portions of the vibration arms 12 and 13. Thus, by increasing impedance of a secondary mode and by causing a parallel capacitance Cd to be greater than that in a case where the capacitance portions 32a, 32b, 42a and 42b do not exist, impedance of a primary mode is suppressed from being excessively high without affecting an electromechanical coupling coefficient K2 of the secondary mode, thereby realizing stable excitation of the primary mode.
