Abstract:
To provide a voltage probe head capable of setting to a large detectable range of a voltage signal to a fixed optical modulator and reducing a risk of breakage due to an unexpected voltage input.SOLUTION: A voltage probe head includes an optical modulator 1 for modulating intensity of incident light while being dependent on an application voltage to a modulation electrode and outputting the modulated incident light, an input/output optical fiber 2 connected to the optical modulator 1, contact terminals 3, 4 configured so as to be capable of touching a point to be measured, and a signal line for guiding a voltage signal of the contact terminal 3 to the modulation electrode, and converts the voltage signal to a light intensity modulation signal by the optical modulator 1 and outputs the signal from the input/output optical fiber 2. The voltage probe head includes a capacitor 9 inserted in series at a connection line part 7 as one portion of the signal line, and amplitude of the voltage signal is reduced at a predetermined ratio that depends on capacity of the capacitor 9 and capacity that the modulation electrode has and is applied to the modulation electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
