PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of malodor like the smell of a floorcloth by removing bacteria adhered to dewatered laundry even in case of drying in a room, and the like, where it takes a long time to dry, and to save labor for smoothing wrinkles in hanging by reducing the wrinkles generated by dewatering, in a washing and drying machine comprising a process where warm air is sent into an inner tub for accommodating the laundry so as to dry the laundry. SOLUTION: The inner tube comprising an opening part in an upper part thereof and accommodating the laundry is supported in an external tub elastically hung in a box body freely rotatably around a vertical axis, and a rotor is rotatably provided in an inner bottom part of the inner tub. Operation of a motor 8, drying blower and fan 15, a heater 16, and the like, is controlled by a control means 30 so as to control each of processes of washing/rinsing/ dewatering/drying. The drying process is started after finishing dewatering or halfway through the dewatering process. At least one washing and drying course is provided such that the control means 30 alarms and finishes the operation after a lapse of a specified time from a time when a temperature in the inner tub reaches a specified temperature in the drying process.
