To provide a waste treatment device having improved operating rate and safety by stabilizing the operation of the device.
The device comprises a dryer 3 for drying water in wastes, a thermally decomposing furnace 100 for thermally decomposing the wastes after dried, a burner 18 for burning obtained thermally decomposed gas, and an air heater 5 using exhaust gas as a thermally decomposing heat source with high temperature gas obtained by burning and guided into the thermally decomposing furnace 100 to obtain drying high temperature air. Control means 700 and 800 charge auxiliary fuel into the burner 18 when an operation margin of the dryer 3 or the thermally decomposing furnace 100, namely, the opening allowance of a valve 10 or 60 becomes smaller.
