Abstract:
To overcome a problem that temporary interruption of a communica tion channel is caused by base station switching and the throughput of data communication is considerably reduced when another base station is selected when a large amount of data communication exists.
When no transmission/reception data exist (S302) at data communication at a transmission rate of 64 kbps using two PHS wireless channels, the number of wireless channels is reduced to one. By using the resource of the one wireless channel resulting from the channel reduction, surrounding base stations are retrieved, and hand-over to the original base station is instructed when the channel is connected to a new base station (S310).
