PURPOSE: To enhance the probability of an ending success as well as to aim at improvement in the operating efficiency of a winder by installing an eliminating device for ending unattainable causes in a working carriage moving along a winding unit.

CONSTITUTION: When a first sensor 15 of a carriage 3 detects a winding unit 2 that stops its operation as an ending unattainable displaying yellow button 11 is projected out, the carriage is decelerated and stopped, and an ending commanding arm 17 turns with a solenoid 40 turned on, pressing the yellow button 11 thereinto, thus ending action is started. That is to say, a suction mouth 51, drawing out a yarn end at the side of a package turns round to 51a from 51c, and simultaneously the yarn end is attracted by action of a beater device 32, turning in reverse, and when it takes the specified yarn guide Y1, a feeler 46 advances forward and detects whether there is any yarn or not, and when yarn Y1 exists there,even if the ending commanding arm 17 is reset,, an auxiliary button 19 is no longer projected out. On the other hand, when detecting there is no yarn, this auxiliary button 19 is projected out. Thus the probability of a ending success is enhanced and an operation rate is improvable.
