Abstract:
To provide a worm reduction gear in which an outer ring constituting a rolling bearing can be effectively prevent from being displaced relative to a gear housing made of synthetic resin.SOLUTION: A worm reduction gear comprises: a gear housing 21; and a rolling bearing 19 that has an outer ring 35 serving as a stationary ring supported by the gear housing 21 and is used for rotatably supporting a worm wheel relative to the gear housing 21. The outer ring 35 has, in an outer periphery thereof, an outer ring recessed portion 44 serving as an outer ring engaging portion. The gear housing 21 is an injection molded product of synthetic resin and having the outer ring 35 as an insert component and has a housing projection 47 serving as a housing engagement portion that is engaged with the outer ring recessed portion 44 in such a manner that the gear housing 21 and the outer ring 35 are prevented from being displaced relative to each other in an axial direction and a circumferential direction of the outer ring 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
