Abstract:

To provide an emergency call unit that can more appropriately respond to an abnormal situation.SOLUTION: In an emergency call unit 10 installed on a vehicle 2 of a driver abnormality response system 1, a photographing unit 12 stores an image photographed by a camera 13 in a storage unit 14, and a power source unit 15 supplies electric power from an on-vehicle battery 2a to the camera, the storage unit, the photographing unit, and a communication control unit 11. A back-up power source 16 supplies electric power to at least the communication control unit when a power source is abnormal and does not supply electric power to at least a part of the camera, the storage unit, and the photographing unit. The communication control unit transmits the photographed image stored in the storage unit, together with an emergency call, to a center 3 if the power source is not abnormal when an abnormal situation occurs, and transmits the emergency call to the center when the power source is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
