Abstract:
To improve rigidity and steering stability in association therewith, in a pneumatic tire having a carcass play composing an omission portion.SOLUTION: A tire 1 comprises: a tread portion 2; a pair of side wall portions 3; a pair of bead portions 4; a belt layer 20 disposed on the tread portion 2; a pair of bead cores 5 disposed on the pair of bead portions 4; and a carcass ply group 10 composed of discontinuous carcass plies 11A disposed inside, in a tire radial direction, the belt layer 20, wound around each of the pair of bead cores 5, and composed of a pair of ply pieces 11A. In a central part, in the tire width direction, of the tread portion 2, an omission portion CH, which is an area where the carcass ply group 10 is not present, is provided. A pair of respective one ends 11a of the pair of ply pieces 11A are arranged on the tread portion 2. The ply cords 11B of the carcass plies 11 intersect in front of and behind winds around the bead cores 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
