Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical component and an optical component having not only good optical characteristics but also characteristics of high surface hardness and excellent impact resistance which are opposite to each other.SOLUTION: A resin composition for optical component contains (A) 10 pts.wt. or more and 30 pts.wt. or less of a silsesquioxane derivative, (B) 35 pts.wt. or more and 70 pts.wt. or less of an alicyclic epoxy resin, (C) 10 pts.wt. or more and 30 pts.wt. or less of a modifier and (D) 0.01 pts.wt. or more and 5 pts.wt. or more of a curing agent, where the silsesquioxane derivative (A) has RSiOas a repeating unit and has a weight average molecular weight Mw of 2,000 or more and 10,000 or less, in all of the repeating constitutional units constituting the silsesquioxane derivative (A), R contains 75 mol% or more and 100 mol% or less of RSiOof a 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyl group as an essential component or R contains 0 mol% or more and 25 mol% or less of RSiOof an aryl group and/or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms as an arbitrary component, and the modifier (C) is at least one selected from the group consisting of a flexible epoxy resin and cyclic ester.SELECTED DRAWING: None
