Abstract:
Disclosed is an air purifier that can disinfect the inside thereof easily. The air purifier is provided with: a ring-shaped rotor; a filter unit that is attached to the rotor and that includes a filter bent in a wave form; a motor for rotating the rotor; a connection member for connecting the rotating shaft of the motor and the rotor; a high-voltage electrode for continuously performing corona discharge; a power source for applying voltage to the high-voltage electrode; a casing for accommodating the rotor and the filter unit; and a means for opening and closing an air intake port and an air discharge port which are provided to the casing. The air purifier is grounded, and the corona discharge is performed between the high-voltage electrode and a component of the air purifier. An air gap is formed between the filter unit and the inner wall of the casing, and when the rotor is rotated while the air intake port and the air discharge port are closed, the air having passed through the filter returns through the air gap to a space surrounded by the filter.
