Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for acquiring multi-luminosity and multi-bandwidth images, wherein the multi-luminosity and multi-bandwidth images can be simultaneously captured and synthesized by using a plurality of wide-bandwidth cameras. The apparatus may comprise: an optical filter unit which includes a mirror filter for separating visible light or infrared light from incident light and a beamsplitter for dividing, into a certain ratio, the light amounts of the visible light and the infrared light separated by the mirror filter; a first camera unit for acquiring a wide bandwidth image from the light reflected from the mirror filter; a second camera unit for acquiring the wide bandwidth image from the light transmitted through the beamsplitter; a third camera unit for acquiring the wide bandwidth image from the light reflected from the beamsplitter; a lighting unit for emitting infrared light; and an operation mode setting unit which determines light level on the basis of the brightness of visible light and infrared light in an image capturing environment, and controls the lighting unit so that infrared light corresponding to the determined light level is emitted.
