Abstract:
A disclosed rebar coupler according to the present invention comprises: first and second body units provided in a split structure and having helical grooves formed on inner opposite surfaces such that helical rebars on one side and the other side are fastened thereto, respectively; a fastener for fastening at least one point on split surfaces of the first and second body units; and first elastic units installed on opposite surfaces of the first and second body units penetrated by the fastener so as to provide an elastic force such that the first and second body units remain widened. The helical grooves of the first and second body units have trough depths formed on the same plane along a straight line. The present invention is advantageous in that, while the opposite surfaces of the first and second body units provided in a split structure remain widened, helical rebars on one side and the other side are inserted and then can be fastened by the fastener; it is accordingly unnecessary to process ends of rebars on one side and the other side in taper shapes, thereby reducing the number of processes; threads of the helical rebars on one side and the other side and helical grooves of the first and second body units are provided in a straight-line structure such that forces are applied to the entire fastening surface, thereby providing an excellent tensile strength; when the helical rebars on one side and the other side are successively inserted into the first and second body units, the rebars are slightly moved backwards by moving bodies, the interval between which can be adjusted by an elastic force; and the threads of the helical rebars can thus be accurately coupled to the helical grooves of the first and second body units. In addition, the present invention is advantageous in that the fastener and a rebar pressurizing fastener are fastened while contacting edges of first and second grooves of the first and second body units, and pressurize the head by the elastic units, thereby preventing damage to fastening threads of the fastener due to fastening depth limitation; multiple body pressurizing elastic bodies are coupled to the outer surface while the first and second body units remain spaced apart, thereby preventing the body pressurizing elastic bodies from being loosened by vibrations or the like during operations (for example, transportation, packaging, or the like); and when the rebar pressurizing fastener is fastened, an end is formed in a crest shape such that, even if the first and second helical grooves of the first and second body units and the threads of the helical rebars on one side and the other side are not aligned, the threads of the helical rebars on one side and the other side are correctly positioned by inclined surfaces, thereby improving the coupling force between the first and second helical grooves of the first and second body units and the threads of the helical rebars on one side and the other side.
