Abstract:

Provided is an automatic opening/closing device for vehicle use that is capable of lengthening the operation amount for an opening/closing body in the front/rear direction of a vehicle as much as possible. This automatic opening/closing device for vehicle use opens and closes an opening section (11) by operating a sliding door (13), and has a guide rail (16) positioned in the front/rear direction of a chassis (14), a cable (26) connected to the sliding door (13), and a rear pulley unit (29) provided in the chassis (14). Therein: the guide rail (16) and the rear pulley unit (29) are positioned in different locations in the widthwise direction of the chassis (14); the rear end of the guide rail (16) and the rear pulley unit (29) are positioned in the same location in the front/rear direction of the chassis (14); and a guide member is further provided for holding, in a pre-set state, the state of operation of the cable (26) routed between the sliding door (13) and the rear pulley unit (29), in the widthwise direction of the chassis (14).
