This biopsy instrument comprises: a tubular needle tube which has, on a tip thereof, a protrusion with a sharp end; a distal tip retractably provided with respect to the needle tube; an operation member connected to the distal tip and inserted into the needle tube and a cutting edge part with a sharp end which is provided on the base end side of the distal tip.
