Abstract:
This brake control device, which adjusts the liquid pressure of a wheel cylinder according to the operation amount of a brake operation member, is provided with a "pressure adjustment unit that is configured from an electric pump and a pressure adjustment valve and that adjusts the liquid pressure in a pressure adjustment liquid path between the electric pump and the pressure adjustment valve", and a "controller that controls the electric pump and the pressure adjustment valve." The controller calculates an operation speed equivalent amount on the basis of an operation amount, calculates a target rotation speed on the basis of the operation speed equivalent amount, and controls the electric pump so that the actual rotation speed of the electric pump approaches the target rotation speed. For example, the controller increases the target rotation speed as the operation speed equivalent amount increases when the operation speed equivalent amount is greater than zero, and decreases the target rotation speed when the operation speed equivalent amount is no greater than zero.
