Abstract:
A circuit breaker is provided with a fixed contact point plate having a fixed contact point that comes into contact with and separates from a movable contact point, a magnetic body disposed near the fixed contact point plate and electrically insulated from the fixed contact point plate, and a device body for accommodating the fixed contact point plate. The fixed contact point plate induces an arc occurring between the movable contact point and the fixed contact point in a direction moving away from the movable contact point and the fixed contact point by the action of a magnetic field. The device body is configured by mutually joining a plurality of members using assembly screws. The magnetic body is then disposed so as to be permeable to a magnetic field generated on the periphery of the fixed contact point plate. The assembly screws are also used for the magnetic body.
