Abstract:
This circuit breaker is provided with an arc-extinguishing device that extinguishes arcs that occur between contacts. Said arc-extinguishing device has the following: an arc-extinguishing grid comprising a plurality of arc-extinguishing plates that segment arcs and are arranged in parallel in the thickness direction of said arc-extinguishing plates; and arc-extinguishing spaces that accommodate arcs that pass through the arc-extinguishing grid. The arc-extinguishing grid is designed such that the intervals between the arc-extinguishing plates increase with increasing distance from the largest arc-extinguishing space.
