Disclosed are a colour filter and a colour image sensor. The colour image sensor comprises a lens array, an optical-electrical conversion element array and a colour filter. The colour filter comprises an array composed of a plurality of filter grids, wherein the filter grids comprise red filter grids, green filter grids and blue filter grids; each of the filter grids is in a shape of regular hexagon, and filter grids of adjacent rows are staggered with one another to form a cellular array; and any three adjacent filter grids must comprise a red filter grid, a green filter grid and a blue filter grid. The arrangement mode of the lens array and the optical-electrical conversion element array is the same as that of the filter grid array of the colour filter; and corresponding lenses, filter grids and optical-electrical conversion elements are located on the same straight line perpendicular to the colour filter. R, G and B signals in the colour image sensor of the present invention are reasonably acquired, the resolution of the finally generated images is greatly improved, and the consumption of computer hardware in the process of generating images is greatly reduced.
