Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress the occurrence of data communication congestion during a disaster, and to acquire information necessary for dealing with the disaster in the disaster-stricken area. [Solution] A communication volume control device 1 comprises an acquisition unit 2 and an instruction unit 3. If a disaster occurs, the acquisition unit 2 acquires subject area information indicating a subject area expected to be impacted by the disaster that has occurred. The instruction unit 3 instructs a plurality of imaging devices, which are incorporated respectively in a plurality of moving bodies and which transmit monitoring information relating to captured images to a monitoring device at a prescribed timing, to adjust, on the basis of the subject area information, the communication volume when transmitting the monitoring information to the monitoring device from the imaging devices.
