Abstract:
A component supply device comprising: a tape transfer path comprising a first transfer route and a second transfer route under the first transfer route, each on an upstream side, the first transfer route and the second transfer route converging to guide the travel of a carrier tape in a downstream direction; a first tape transfer unit for successively transferring the carrier tape to a component pick-up position; a tape holding unit for holding the carrier tape in at least a part of the second transfer route; a second tape transfer unit for transferring the carrier tape being held by the tape holding unit in the downstream direction of the tape transfer path; a tape hold releasing mechanism for allowing the carrier tape being held by the tape holding unit to drop onto the first transfer route; and a control unit for driving the tape hold releasing mechanism at a timing after the carrier tape being transferred by the second tape transfer unit is handed over to the first tape transfer unit.
