Abstract:
In order to be able to distribute content without reducing the quality of experience for users, cache servers, which are connected to packet forwarding devices that forward packets to be sent and received between user terminals and a storage device that stores management content, temporarily store at least some of the management content; a control device determines the screen resolution of a terminal on the basis of information contained in a content request message from the terminal, selects a cache server that is storing content for the screen resolution, and provides instructions to the selected cache server to deliver the content; and the cache server that received the instructions calculates a bit rate when the content is sent on the basis of a signal received from the terminal, reads content files or streams, which have said screen resolution and are at or below said bit rate, requested by the terminal, and stores and sends said content files or streams in packets having a prescribed protocol.
