Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a thickening composition and cosmetic that are easily liberated via a mesh material, spread uniformly when applied to the skin, and provide a smooth and free-flowing feeling. [Solution] A thickening composition for a cosmetic, the contents of which are liberated via a mesh material, said composition containing an ultra fine powder and a silicone cross polymer having a structure in which dimethicone is crosslinked by an organic group, wherein a storage modulus G' is at least 3,000 Pa as measured by a rheometer while increasing the stress in a 25 mm φ cone plate at a gap of 0.5 mm, a strain of 0.1%, a frequency of 1 Hz, and a temperature of 25°C, and the loss tangent tan δ, which is determined as the loss modulus G"/the storage modulus G' measured under the same conditions as above, is not more than 0.2. A cosmetic comprising a container provided with an inner lid in which the mesh material is stretched and an outer lid for sealing the container body, and the thickening composition accommodated in the container body below the inner lid.
