Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cryopreservation device that makes it possible to automatically extract an intended sample, and prevent the temperature of samples other than the intended sample from increasing. Provided is a freezing storage device (1) comprising: a cryopreservation vessel (2) that has an internally accommodated drawer (13) for accommodating vials in individual vertically lined-up boxes, an opening communicating with a task space (3) being provided to the upper surface of the cryopreservation vessel (2); a drawer-raising/lowering device (4) for vertically raising and lowering the drawer (13) via the opening after having gripped the drawer (13), and for keeping the drawer (13) at a desired height; a first stage (5) on which the boxes can be placed, said stage (5) being above the cryopreservation vessel (2) and provided so as to be adjacent to the opening as viewed from above; and a second pressure-applying device (8) for pressing the boxes and moving the boxes to the first stage (5).
