Abstract:
This Doherty amplifier is provided with a carrier amplifier (17) which amplifies a first signal and outputs the amplified first signal, a peak amplifier (18) which has a nonlinear output capacity, amplifies a second signal, and outputs the amplified second signal, a first output circuit (19) which transmits the first signal outputted from the carrier amplifier (17), a second output circuit which functions as a virtual short stub if the peak amplifier (18) does not perform amplification, and which transmits the second signal outputted from the peak amplifier (18), and a combining circuit (24) which combines the first signal transmitted by the first output circuit (19) and the second circuit transmitted by the second output circuit (20) and outputs the combined signal of the first signal and the second signal, wherein when the peak amplifier (18) performs amplification, the second output circuit (20) transforms impedance of the synthesis circuit (24) viewed from the peak amplifier (18) to the impedance of an inductive region.
