Abstract:
A door hinge device for a vehicle, comprising hinge members consisting of simply bent pieces of a sheet metal material. A door hinge device for a vehicle comprises a vehicle body-side bracket (1) mounted to the vehicle body side, a door-side bracket (2) mounted to the door side, and a hinge pin (3) for rotatably connecting both the brackets to each other. Both the brackets (1, 2) consist of members having a U-shaped cross-section and obtained by subjecting a metal plate material to predetermined bending and shaping. A stopper section (5) for restricting relative rotation of both the brackets (1, 2) is provided to the vehicle body-side bracket (1) which is one of the brackets (1, 2) and forms the female-side member of the brackets (1, 2). The stopper section (5) is located at a vertical wall section (11) of the vehicle body-side bracket (1) at a position below the position at which the hinge pin (3) is provided and the vehicle body-side bracket (1) is fastened to the door-side bracket (2).
