Abstract:

This drive device (100a) is used together with a rotary compressor (8) provided with an electric motor (1) having a coil (3), and drives the electric motor (1). The drive device (100a) comprises: an inverter (103); a connection switching unit (60) which switches the connection state of the coil (3) between a first connection state and a second connection state; a control device (50) which controls the inverter (103) and the connection switching unit (60); and a compressor temperature sensor (71) which detects the state of the rotary compressor (8). When the connection state of the coil (3) is the first connection state, the control device (50 controls the electric motor (1) on the basis of a first threshold value and a first detection value detected by the compressor temperature sensor (71). When the connection state of the coil (3) is the second connection state, the control device (50) controls the electric motor (1) on the basis of a second threshold value and a second detection value detected by the compressor temperature sensor (71).
