Abstract:
This electric motor driving device is for driving an electric motor (2) having stator windings, and comprises: a connection switching unit (3) that has relays (31-33) serving as mechanical switches connected to the respective stator windings and has exciting coils for opening and closing the respective relays (31-33) by conduction or non-conduction of an exciting current, and that switches, by opening/closing the relays (31-33), the connection state of each of the stator windings to either a first connection state (star connection) or a second connection state (delta connection) different from the first connection state; and an inverter (1) that supplies an AC driving voltage to each of the stator windings.
