Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device resistant to fluctuations in electrical characteristics such as the fractional bandwidth or impedance ratio. In the elastic wave device (1), an oxide dielectric layer (3) comprising a metal oxide is disposed on a piezoelectric substrate (2), an IDT electrode (4) is disposed on the oxide dielectric layer (3), and the metal constituting the portion of the IDT electrode (4) contacting the oxide dielectric layer (3) comprises a metal or alloy of weaker oxidative power than the metal constituting the metal oxide of the oxide dielectric layer (3).
